Greenville’s Five Star Paint Correction Specialists

Remove the Scratches and Imperfections to Get the Most Gloss and
Clarity From Your Paint

Our goal in paint correction is to restore gloss and depth of color to the paint. We do that by removing swirl marks, oxidation, and deep scratches. Depending on your needs and wants, we can remove 50-95% of the imperfections in your car’s paint. We offer three levels of paint correction.

Single-Step
paint correction

$500-750+

5-8hrs. of polishing

A single step polish is a hybrid between a cutting step and a finishing step. A single step typically removes 50-65% of the imperfections, and gives the paint a glossy finish. This is our most popular paint correction service. It offers great results for its price.

Two-step
paint correction

$900-1,400+

10-16 hrs. of polishing

A two-step correction consists of a heavy cutting stage followed by a finishing polish stage. It will remove 80-85% of the imperfections. We’ll use an aggressive compound and cutting pad to remove heavy swirls, moderately deep scratches, and heavy oxidation from the clear coat for the first stage. Then we’ll do a second pass with a finishing pad and polish to remove any hazing and imperfections left by the aggressive cut to achieve incredible clarity in the paint. Some deep scratches may remain in the clear coat, but they will be hardly noticeable unless you are a perfectionist, in which case, we recommend our three-step paint correction.

Three-step

paint correction

$1,500-2,000+

15-24 hrs. of polishing

If you want your paint to look just about perfect, this is the best option for you. A three-step correction will remove 90-95% of the imperfections in the paint. We’ll use very aggressive cutting methods to remove as many of the deep scratches as possible. This process consists of two cutting stages, followed by a finishing polish stage.

It is important to understand that some scratches and imperfections are far too deep to remove. We cannot remove a scratch that has gone through the clear coat, and likewise, we cannot polish a panel if the clear coat is too thin or completely gone.

This is where we’ll make a judgment call on what we can safely remove from your paint. The most important thing in paint correction is knowing when enough is enough. As much as we want to remove every imperfection from the paint, we do not want to damage the integrity of the clear coat, and risk damaging the paint.

Even Brand

New Vehicles

Need Paint Correction

Although your vehicle may be brand new, it still could need as much as a two-step paint correction, and here’s why: New vehicles get transported from all over the world. During this time, many different people are handling it in many different places. Most of these people do not care and even do not know how to properly maintain the vehicles in their possession. They can very easily get scratched in the transportation process. Once it arrives to a dealership, it is regularly washed, and with very improper methods. They are often washed with brushes and harsh chemicals that are left drying on the paint in the sun. Many times a brand new vehicle comes off the showroom floor with heavy swirling and water spots.

Paint Correction

Is a Commitment

When you get your paint corrected, you are making a commitment to the vehicle. In order to keep your paint in great condition, you will have to properly maintain it after we’ve completed the service. If you decide to take your vehicle through an automatic car wash, all the work we’ve done will be reversed in a short period of time. It will need to be properly maintained by hand washing it, and following up with us for occasional maintenance.

We will give you a free follow up wash a week or two after we’ve completed the service to show you how to properly maintain your car. We also offer bi-weekly and monthly maintenance services if you’d like for us to keep up with the maintenance for you. We can come to your home and do it for you with our mobile detailing unit.

You can also do quarterly or biannual services to freshen it up occasionally if you don’t want to join our maintenance program.

Ceramic Coating Warranty

If you decide to pair your paint correction with a Ceramic Coating, we offer warranties on all our 2 yr.+ ceramic coatings. Requirements apply. Contact us for more information.

Our Paint Correction Process

Here’s a general breakdown of what our service includes:

  • Door Jambs: We start with the door jambs, and work our way out

  • Wheels, Tires, and Fender Wells: We do a thorough cleaning of the wheel faces and barrels, tires, and inner fender

  • Delicate Hand Wash: We pre-wash the vehicle with degreaser and car soap to remove bugs and dirt, clean the gas cap, give it a thorough rinse to keep from scratching the paint any further, and then we re-foam the vehicle and hand wash it

  • Iron Decontamination: We use an iron removal chemical to ensure the surface is clean

  • Clay Bar treatment: We use a clay bar to remove any contaminants embedded in the clear coat, dry it off, and pull it into the garage.

  • Tape Off Plastics and Rubber: We tape off all the trim to keep the polish from staining any of the sensitive areas

  • Compound and/or Polish Paint, Windows, and Chrome: Depending on which paint correction package you decided on, we’ll get the paint revived.

  • Alcohol Wipe Down: We’ll wipe the whole vehicle down with alcohol to remove all of the polish residue and oils left on the paint, and do a thorough inspection

  • Apply Paint Protection: We’ll either install a Ceramic Coating or a wax/sealant of your choice

  • Dress Tires, Plastic, and Trim: We’ll shine the tires, and apply (non-greasy) trim dressing to give the plastics an even black finish

  • Final Touch-Ups: We’ll do one final inspection and make sure everything is looking absolutely fantastic!

  • Paint Correction is very tedious work, thus the cost, and time it takes to do it. You can expect to leave your vehicle with us anywhere from 2-4 days for the completed service.
