Why is it so expensive to get a vehicle detailed?
Many people request a quote for a detail, and upon seeing our price, either ghost us or kind of get upset that we charge so much. I’ve heard this many times: “I have a detailer that will come to my house and clean my car for $30.” Or “I could just go to the car wash and get my car cleaned for less than $20.” And while that’s true, there’s a reason why they always end up coming back to us later. And that’s because you pay for what you get. If you want to pay a fraction of the cost to get a crappy clean and damage the paint, plastics, chromes, etc…, by all means, do what you feel like doing, but we stand by our pricing. And we stand by our pricing because of the great quality of service we provide, our great customer service, and the time we spend to get your vehicle looking like new again. We completely understand not wanting to pay hundreds of dollars to get your car clean, but we do not lower our prices just because someone isn’t willing to pay them, because there are plenty of people out there that are more than willing to pay for the services we provide. Car washes and your local high school detailer might be able to offer better prices, but they cannot provide the quality of service we provide. Not too mention, just one gallon of iron decontamination costs us over one hundred dollars, and that’s just for one chemical. Our chemicals our extremely expensive, but that’s how we get such incredible results. We use the best chemicals and best equipment to make sure we get the absolute best results possible. We charge what we charge to make it worth our time, because otherwise, if we cut ourselves short, we might as well just go work a 9-5 job where we would make the same amount of money. We will not lower our prices just because there are people out there that are not willing to pay our price. I’ve been there and done that, and a business can’t survive that way, and I had to find that out the hard way. Now we charge what we want to make, and we have plenty of people who are more than happy to pay our price, and we are staying booked; so we will not sell ourselves short. And I hope you won’t either in your work.
